MEW was commissioned by Vetroinox to carry out the structural design and calculations for the glazed façade and roof system of a new canopy located in Piazza Duomo.
The façade consists of DGU glazing panels spanning vertically without the use of intermediate mullions, resulting in a highly transparent and lightweight appearance.
The canopy roof is composed of vertical glass supporting two horizontal glass panels for each roof module.
This configuration maximizes the penetration of natural light while maintaining the required structural performance and architectural transparency.
